I guess they see themselves as job and wealth creators. But it wouldn't dent their collective fortune too much to pay their employees and their outsource workers a fair wage. All organisations that exploit and employ children should be named and shamed. I don't understand why there aren't international laws that enforced to prevent the sweated labour of children.
I mentioned before that the four members of the Walton Family, the guys who actually own Walmart Asda, are worth just over $19 billion each. Their combined fortune is 76.4 BILLION dollars - $76,400,000,000.
To put this into perspective - the current world population stands at 6.7 billion souls. In other words, each and every living person on the planet would have to give around 11 dollars and 50 cents in order to amass a comparable fortune. To me, it's unfathomable how they can sleep at night, knowing they've got children slaving away in sweat shops and farmers losing their livelyhoods everywhere to make this one family so inconceivably wealthy.
