Although supermarkets may be open limited hours (although this seems unlikely in the case of ASDA as its competition at Tesco and Sainsbury is 24 hour opening)there is the additional issue of deliveries. Out of necessity delivery lorries have to deliver during anti-social hours and they don't deliver in silence. Delivery trucks will be driving and unloading in this primarily residential area at all hours of the day and night. The nuisance from traffic isn't confined to customers but also applies to constant deliveries. Fancy the rumble fo trucks past your front door (or back door)at 5am? Every day?
