I don't think we would want to turn this into a political issue, but I've just had some news from the Conservative party:
Damian Green, MP for Ashford, is coming down on Saturday morning to do some canvassing in Silverhill. I will try to get there in the morning and speak to him. I will try to see if he will walk round some of the shops with me and speak to people there on the subject of support for local businesses.

On Tuesday, Alan Duncan, the shadow Secretary of State for Business and Enterprise is visiting Hastings. I may have an opportunity to speak to him at lunchtime. Would anyone like to accompany me so we can do some lobbying?
